São Paulo will host the second edition of the PTX South America, a dedicated event for powder technology in Latin America to be held Aug. 6-8.

The PTX event will be held alongside the 17th edition of Fi South America (food ingredients) and the sixth edition of CPhI South America (pharmaceutical ingredients) at Expo Centre Norte. Combined, the events are expected to attract 15,000 industry professionals.

Exhibitors include major domestic and international companies. Examples include: Alston, a global leader in power generation and transmission and rail infrastructure; Guerin/Tetra Pak, a global innovator in food processing and packaging solutions; Nederman, a leader in products and solutions to reduce environmental impact from process manufacturing; Dynamic Air Inc., specializing in pneumatic conveying of dry bulk solids for industrial processing; Bag Corp., a leader in packaging of bulk products; BS&B, a global pioneer in the manufacture of rupture discs; Sanwey, a manufacturer of one-way and reusable flexible containers; Zeppelin, a specialist in storage and handling of bulk products; GEA, specialist in heat exchange equipment.

The event also has the support and active participation of important of major industrial organizations including ABNT (Brazilian Association of Technical Standards), ABEQ (Brazilian Association of Chemical Industry), ABIAM (Brazilian Association of Industry and Trade of Food Ingredients and Additives), ABIFINA (Brazilian Association of Industrial Fine Chemicals, Biotechnology and its Specialties), ABIVIDRO (Brazilian Technical Association of Automatic Glass Industries) and FEDERASUR (Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of South America)

PTX South America will also hold an international conference to update participants on the market for equipment and services for storage, handling and processing of dry bulk solids, particles and fine powders. The conference will include presentations of new technologies and applications, analysis of current regulations in the Brazilian market and clarifications of the requirements for an export business globally.
